Warren Linn has worked as an illustrator for virtually every
major media client and exhibited in a wide range of gallery venues over the
past 4½ decades.
Born, reared, and established in Chicago, he moved to NY
City in 1980, and to Baltimore in 2002. He is on the Faculty at the Maryland
Institute College of Art where he draws, paints, and collages continuously.
His work is in 12 American Illustration annuals and he is
represented in The Society of Illustrators 200 Years of American Illustration,
and in the Permanent Print & Drawing collection at the Art Institute of
Chicago, Pennsylvania College of Technology, numerous private collections, and
available at Corbett vs. Dempsey in Chicago.
His piece “Public Enemy, Fear of a Black Planet” was
featured at “The Society of Illustrators Rolling Stone Art of the Record Review”
exhibition in N Y City Sept/Oct 2011.
He traveled to France spring of 2010 participating in a 6
week “Petite Cites de Caractere in Brittany Landscape tour sponsored by the
Brittany Chamber of Commerce. He has 7 pieces on display Nov. 4, 2011-
Jan. 4, 2012 at the L’Art dans les Cites
– Peintres Americains, group show, at the Maison de Bretagne, in Paris.
